SpaceWorks Engineering, Inc.
(SEI) is a small aerospace engineering and consulting firm located just outside
of metro Atlanta. We specialize in providing quick and unbiased analysis of
advanced space concepts ranging from space launch vehicles to deep space
missions. Our five practice areas include Space Systems Analysis, Future Market
Assessments, Financial Engineering, Policy and Media Consultation, and
Technology Prioritization. In addition, we market a variety of engineering
software tools ranging from specialized disciplinary analysis tools for space
vehicle design to packages for overall design optimization.
Our technical staff
has recognized expertise in key aerospace disciplines including concept weight
analysis, CAD drawings, aerodynamics, thermal protection systems, airbreathing
and rocket propulsion, and trajectory optimization. Our programmatic
assessments cover non-recurring costs, recurring costs, operations costs,
business case closure, market capture analysis, and safety and reliability
assessments. Our analysis toolset includes a suite of industry standard
computer codes and well as in-house specialty tools. SpaceWorks Engineering can
perform both deterministic and probabilistic analyses to assess the risk
associated with various technology options or vehicle configurations. Sei's
customers include NASA, the U.S. Air Force, DARPA, and various large and small
commercial aerospace companies. Engineering services are available on an hourly
or fixed-price basis. See our Practice Areas page
for more information.
SEI's software products
include the OptWorks suite of non-gradient-based optimization drivers for use
within Phoenix
Integration's ModelCenter collaborative design enviroment. OptWorks
includes Genetic Algorithm, Coordinate Pattern Search, Simulated Annealing,
Random Walk, and other useful optimiation drivers for application to complex
multi-disciplinary design problems. We also market specialized engineering
software for the design and analysis of liquid rocket engines (SCORES II and
LRE-Designer) and rocket-based combined cycle engines (SCCREAM). Our products
are available to U.S. users as single-user licenses or division-wide site
licenses. See our Products page for more
details.
