  • Senior Engineer/Analyst. The applicant should hold at least a Masters or PhD degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering with at least 3-10+ years of industry experience. The successful applicant should have skills and experience relevant to advanced space systems design in one or more of the following disciplines: Computer-Aided Design (CAD), aerodynamics, propulsion, trajectory/flight mechanics, aeroheating/thermal, structural/weight analysis, multidisciplinary design optimization, and/or technology prioritization and assessment. Design applications include Earth-to-Orbit launch systems, in-space transfer vehicles, planetary surface landers, and supporting infrastructure. Specific programming (C, C++, Java, or similar) and disciplinary analysis skills are a prerequisite. Candidates should be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for space exploration. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

The successful applicant should be familiar or have an interest in commercial and policy aspects of space development including economic modeling. Experience and skills in quantitative modeling are desired. Candidates should be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for space exploration. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

    Jr. Engineer/Analyst. The applicant should hold at least a Bachelors degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering or related field. This is an entry-level position, so no prior work experience is required. However, preference will be given to applicants with co-op, internship, or research experience related to space system design and analysis. Required skills include one or more of the following: Computer-Aided Design (CAD), aerodynamics, propulsion, trajectory/flight mechanics, aeroheating/thermal, structural/weight analysis, multidisciplinary design optimization, and/or technology prioritization and assessment. Minimum GPA requirement is 3.3 on a scale of 4.0. Candidates should be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for space exploration. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

  • INTERNSHIPS: Openings for Internships during Summer 2005
  • SpaceWorks Engineering, Inc. (SEI) has an opening during the summer of 2005 for one or two paid internship positions for qualified undergraduate or graduate students. Internships are typically 8-10 weeks in duration with flexible start and stop dates. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit resumes at any time.

    Internships are sought in two broad categories: aerospace engineering and aerospace economics/policy. For any potential internship applicant, preference will be given to those pursuing undergraduate and graduate degree programs in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, business, finance, or policy.
